Mr. Matsuda is the founder and managing partner of Matsuda & Partners.  Mr. Matsuda started his legal career at Baba & Sawada Law Office in 1993 where he practiced wide variety of corporate matters with particular emphasis on bankruptcy and corporate recovery cases.  After founding Matsuda & Partners in 2002, his practice expanded to other areas of law including intellectual property and real estate matters.  Mr. Matsuda is registered as a patent attorney and belongs to The Japan Patent Attorneys Association. 

Mr. Matsuda has broad range of corporate clients from small / mid-size companies to listed companies providing day-to-day legal advice as well as assistance in various corporate deals and start-ups in foreign countries.  Mr. Matsuda also is involved in various probono matters and attends many individuals as clients. 

Mr. Matsuda was admitted to the Japan bar in 1993 and is a member of The Tokyo Bar Association.  Mr. Matsuda has also attended University of California, Berkeley as a visiting scholar in 1996/1997.  Further, Mr. Matsuda acts as a chairperson of the NPO “Wills and Inheritance Legal Network”, and was also the bar examiner of the Japanese bar exam on administrative law in 2013 and 2014.
